Malcolm is committed to encouraging and inspiring further philanthropy, volunteering and giving across Australia. He recently addressed a group of potential and current philanthropists, organised by Art Support WA, providing information on the advantages of establishing a charitable foundation. Malcolm noted that he is truly inspired by the many parents who volunteer for P&C committees and school fundraisers, community service groups such as Rotary and Lions who give so generously of their time and the people who donate to door knock appeals and other worthy organisations. But there are many high wealth individuals out there who could do a lot more and he encourages this group to appreciate the many benefits of giving back to the community and those in most need. Malcolm is very excited about the establishment of Giving West, an organisation set up and supported by Lotterywest, UWA, Mr John Poynton and others, to promote greater and more effective giving in Western Australia. His wife Tonya is a board member and Malcolm is looking forward to working closely with the group to help create a more giving, caring and generous culture here in WA.
